Restoring Primary Care Funding in Vermont’s State Budget
When Vermont’s proposed state budget threatened deep cuts to primary care funding, we knew what was at stake: access to healthcare for communities across the state.
I worked with providers and partners to map out exactly where the cuts would hit, translating complex funding streams into clear, human-centered stories and visuals lawmakers could act on. From organizing testimony and legislative meetings to press conferences and direct conversations with House and Senate members, we kept the focus on what mattered, protecting care for Vermonters.
By the end of the session, we not only restored primary care funding in the budget, but also built bipartisan support for new workforce investments to strengthen primary care for the future.
